Recommendations
Recommendations
- Bring a light jacket or windbreaker, as Lima’s evenings and nights are usually damp and cool, and the chill intensifies considerably near the water features.
- Wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes for walking, since the historic center is strictly pedestrianized and the park covers a considerable area.
- Protect your electronic devices (cameras and cell phones) with waterproof cases, as some interactive fountains can create unexpected splashes when the wind blows.
- Have some cash in Peruvian Soles in small denominations to buy traditional Lima snacks, such as churros or anticuchos, which are commonly sold nearby.
- Keep young children close by and under constant supervision, as the park tends to be very crowded with local and foreign visitors in the evenings.
