ITINERARY
Itinerary
The following itinerary includes approximate times that may vary depending on train availability and entry times to the citadel.
- 4:00 AM – Pick-up from your hotel in Cusco and private or shared transfer to your selected train station (Ollantaytambo or Poroy).
- 6:10 AM – Boarding and travel on the panoramic train. Enjoy the changing landscapes, passing through agricultural fields before entering the cloud forest.
- 7:40 AM – Arrival at the Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Pueblo) train station. Our staff will meet you and accompany you to the bus station.
- 8:00 AM – Travel on the eco-friendly bus along the winding Hiram Bingham Highway to the entrance gate of the citadel.
- 8:30 AM – Entrance to Machu Picchu. Start of the approximately two-and-a-half-hour guided tour exploring agricultural terraces, ceremonial sites, the Temple of the Sun, and the Main Plaza.
- 11:30 – End of the guided tour and descent by bus to the town of Aguas Calientes.
- 12:30 – Free time to enjoy lunch at the restaurant of your choice and stroll through the town’s streets or visit the artisan market.
- 16:22 – Meet at the Aguas Calientes train station to board the return train.
- 18:10 – Arrival at the final station, where our transportation will be waiting to take you back to your hotel in Cusco.
