Itinerary
This itinerary will allow you to see the highlights of the valley in a single day, optimizing travel and exploration time.
- 7:30 – 8:00 – Pick-up from your hotel in the historic center of Cusco.
- 8:30 – Start of the journey to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, with a brief stop at the Taray viewpoint to appreciate a spectacular panoramic view of the valley and the winding Urubamba River.
- 9:30 – Arrival at the Pisac Archaeological Park. We will take a guided tour of its impressive agricultural terraces and the largest Inca cemetery recorded in the region.
- 11:30 – Descent to the town of Pisac to visit its famous traditional market, the perfect place to appreciate local crafts and silverware.
- 13:00 – Stop in the town of Urubamba to enjoy a hearty Andean buffet lunch at a country restaurant.
- 2:30 PM – Continue the journey to the impressive archaeological complex of Ollantaytambo. Enjoy a guided exploration of its gigantic megalithic structures and steep terraces that served as a fortress during the Inca resistance.
- 4:30 PM – We begin our return journey to Cusco, making a final stop in the town of Chinchero. Here, we will visit its main square, surrounded by Inca walls and a colonial church, and enter a textile interpretation center to learn about ancestral alpaca wool dyeing and weaving techniques.
- 6:30 PM – 7:00 PM – Arrival in the city of Cusco. The tour concludes at a central plaza or near your hotel.

- Difficulty: Easy to moderate. The route involves walking along cobblestone paths and climbing several staircases, especially in the section leading to the Temple of the Sun in Ollantaytambo.
- Climate: Temperate and dry. During the day it is usually sunny and warm, making the walk very pleasant, but the temperature drops drastically after sunset.
- Altitude: The Sacred Valley is located at an average altitude of 2,800 meters above sea level. Being lower than the city of Cusco (3,399 meters above sea level), it is the ideal place to continue your acclimatization process naturally.
- Recommended age: This excursion is suitable for travelers of all ages. The walking distances can be adjusted, allowing children and seniors to complete the tour at a leisurely pace.
